About Me
My name is Ashley Faye and I am currently enrolled in Strozzi Institute’s Somatic Coaching Certification program as a somatic coach trainee. Since 2010, I’ve engaged in the healing arts as both a practitioner and teacher of meditation and Reiki. Using the methodology and skills that I’m learning in my program, I’m building on this experience to help others understand their body’s wisdom so that they can move toward being the person they want to be in life.
Part of what led me to somatics was my curiosity around stepping out of many years of living in my head (read: a lifetime), being a natural introvert who practiced styles of meditation that mostly nurtured this tendency. Over time, I set out to explore more of my “selves”-- like my “feeling self.” Working for the past decade in the human rights sector (philanthropy and NGO work), also made me curious to learn more about how somatics could impact an individual or collective’s ability to realize positive social change.
Now, I’m proud to walk alongside others who are willing to shift what they are practicing in life in service of who they want to become. Change is never easy, but somatic practice shows us that it is possible. I’m looking for individuals who are interested in somatic coaching—a form of coaching that incorporates somatic practices over a 10-session arc. If you are interested, we’d start with a free 30-minute discovery call. You’ll find more information here.
